About

A fantastic multi-user route (open to walkers, cyclist and horse riders) along the old Rail Line connecting Beverley to Market Weighton. The trail has a 1km surfaced stone path at each end and a mixture of grass and stone surfaces for the remainder of the trail. The steps and busy road crossing (B1248) near the old Cherry Burton Station limits access to some users.

The Beverley end of the trail begins in Molescroft, near Ings Lane. The Market Weighton end of the trail can starts in the playings fields near Aspen Close and Hall Road.

Code of conduct

You are welcome to visit this rail trail on foot, with your bike or on a horse.. Please note that we do not allow camping, barbeques, or motorbikes. You can bring your dog but you should pick up after it and it should be on a lead or kept under close control.

 Not everyone is comfortable around dogs so please be aware of this when exercising your animal.

If you are Cyclist or a horserider using the trail it is important that you ride sensibly for the ground conditions and adjust your speed when close to walkers and dogs.

Rail trails are wonderful green corridors and a special places for wildlife, please help keep them beautiful by picking up litter and avoid disturbing wildflowers.

Parking

There is a small amount of available parking off Ings Road that connects to the path just north of Grange Way.

Free Car Park available at Molescroft and Kiplingcotes and Market Weighton

On street parking available in villages along the trail.

Location accessibility

The trail is generally flat with steps, bridges or ramps at the road crossings.

The trail surface is stone or grass.

The route is generally accessible to suitable wheelchairs and pushchairs with the exception of the road crossing (B1248) near Cherry Burton Station.
